www.lookatme.ru about me and my work

Here you will find a short interview for the LOOK AT ME website and some of my photos.

Alisa Verner is a young photographer based in St. Petersburg. Frequent victims of her lens are girls, her favorite genre is erotica. Alice adores girls, admits that she is fascinated by their beauty, she notices and shows us the most exciting features of the female body.

Alisa, what inspires you?

Everything in the world inspires me, first of all, of course, female beauty - an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Unique facial features, body lines, graceful movements, exciting shapes - I constantly meet girls who take my breath away, they don't want to preserve this beauty, capture it, share it with the world. And creative ideas come to my head by themselves - I think I have a direct connection with space!

If not for photography, what would you be doing?

I would paint. I already draw, with acrylics, but not enough and rarely - there is not enough time and inspiration, everything goes to photography. But in truth, I have always considered paints and canvases to be something more real, something magical. Yes, definitely, I would paint.

Do you accept all orders or do you have your own special criteria?

Sometimes I refuse, but this happens very rarely. At first, she refused more often, because mentally and physically I could not film those who did not inspire me. Gradually, she became calmer, but there are still people who are better off saying “no”, simply because I feel that we are not suitable for each other, I feel that I will not take photos in such a way as to please everyone - both me and the client. And not because I can't cope - I can press the camera button anyway. I just want the photographs to be something more than documentary fixation of a certain moment, and for this, at least, we need to make it easy for both of us to be with each other.

Why are there so few guys in your pictures?

Everything is simple here - I photograph those who really excite and inspire me. I feel like I need to photograph a girl so that she is incredibly attractive in the photo, because I see beauty in her, because I myself am fascinated. But with men it's more difficult for me .. Men have always attracted me in a different sense ;-)

Tell us about the craziest thing you've ever done.

It seems to me that I constantly commit some incredible stupidity, and that of all this was the craziest, probably closer to old age I will decide. So the first thing that comes to mind is how I jumped over the opening Palace Bridge in the summer of 2007. It creaks very loudly and shakes violently, and when you look down - and there the Neva River is splashing - it causes quite strong emotions. It was a good night!

And finally, your wishes for novice photographers.

There are only two wishes:
1. From the very beginning it is worth deciding whether it is yours at all or not yours. And if not yours, then it is better to immediately put the camera aside and find yourself in what will truly delight and inspire.
2. If it is truly yours and there is not a shadow of a doubt about it - do what you like as you like. There is no need to be guided by fashion trends in photography, copy someone's work, shoot "the right way", retouch "the right way" - in the end, no one needs it if it looks like thousands of other similar photographs. The main thing is that the photo evokes emotions. Being yourself is such happiness :-) It is better to be yourself with your own style and vision of beauty than to adapt to someone's tastes. And of course, never turn off your inner critic!
